Drop Zone: Dive-In is an innovative program created to inspire members of Generation X and Y to scuba dive. The Program Manual and Online Web Portal is filled with marketing and retail tactics specifically designed for Dive Shop Owners to implement to attract new business. Further goals are to develop ecological awareness and expand product offerings to sell more merchandise.
Drop Zone: Dive-In builds on the momentum that was created from the release of the film, Drop Zone: Tahiti and uses it as the foundation in taking the next step to “young-up” the industry. Following the travels of three young pro surfers in search of what lies above and below the ocean’s surface, Drop Zone Tahiti inspires surfers of all ages to explore the flipside of the waves and dive-in.
PADI, Body Glove, Sport Diver and Transworld SURF partnered to create the successful and award winning film, Drop Zone Tahiti, which debuted during the DEMA Show 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
The film’s prominent positioning in the action sports arena represents a major coup for the sport of diving. Drop Zone: Tahiti captures the adventure, the adrenaline rush and lifestyle of diving and shares the adventure with action sports cultures around the world.
